Expanding Digital Accessibility Together with COEX
KLcube recently signed an MOU with COEX to enhance digital accessibility and expand inclusive ESG-based services.
This partnership was initiated to help a wider range of visitors — including Deaf and hard-of-hearing users — access exhibition and facility information more easily and conveniently. By applying AI-based sign language services to real exhibition spaces and digital guide environments, both companies aim to create a more inclusive experience where information can be accessed without barriers.
As a first step, COEX plans to introduce sign language support for frequently used visitor information on its website, including directions, parking information, convenience facilities, and exhibition hall guidance. The service will later expand to additional touchpoints such as mobile web services, kiosks, and on-site digital guide systems.
The project utilizes KLcube’s AI sign language avatar platform, “HandSignVerse.” The platform automatically converts voice and text into Korean Sign Language structure and generates natural sign language videos with facial expressions and gestures reflected together for more intuitive communication.
This collaboration is especially meaningful because COEX is one of Korea’s largest exhibition and convention venues, welcoming a diverse range of domestic and international visitors every year. Through this partnership, KLcube is continuing to expand the application of AI sign language technology across public services, transportation, finance, healthcare, tourism, and now the exhibition industry as well.
KLcube will continue working toward a more accessible digital environment where everyone can access information more freely and naturally.
