Recipient of the Social Contribution Award at the 2026 Korea Public Institution Excellence Awards
Jonghwa Kim, CEO of AI sign language company KL Cube, received the Social Contribution Award at the “2026 Korea Public Institution Excellence Awards.”
This recognition highlights KL Cube’s efforts to lower barriers to information access through AI sign language technology, enabling information-vulnerable groups, including the Deaf community, to more easily access public services.
KL Cube provides an AI sign language avatar platform, HandSignVerse, which automatically converts voice or text into Korean Sign Language (KSL).
Beyond simple translation, the technology delivers communication that closely resembles real-life interactions by naturally incorporating sign language grammar, facial expressions, and gestures.
The solution is currently being used across various public service environments, including government kiosks, civil service guidance systems, and digital information platforms. It is particularly effective in non-face-to-face and unmanned service settings, ensuring that information is accessible to everyone.
KL Cube plans to continue expanding its collaboration with public institutions and introducing AI sign language services across multiple sectors, further advancing an inclusive digital environment.
